Christmas Cards

I LOVE to get Christmas cards in the mail! Especially the ones with pictures. That way I can see how much your babies have grown over the year or if you got a new dog or went on an awesome vacation, etc. I also love to send them out for the very same reason. I have discovered, however, that I am apparently on the very low side of creativity when it comes to wishing all my family and friends a Happy Holiday Season. I found a few examples of Christmas cards, that truly embrace the holiday spirit.

"This is my younger brother, he got out of prison just in time for Christmas! We're all really excited!"

"Me and my besties ;)""We used our DSi's to make funny faces and dyed our cat green this year""For the gunlover in everyone""We just got a new puppy! The doctor's say we shouldn't have real babies""We wanted to share our impending joy.....and nakedness""Hold on just a sec, I'm right in the middle of a game""In case you didn't remember our names, we labeled ourselves.....and some dude in the background"I really don't even know what to say about this one. It's just creepy. Poor kids.

Anywho, Merry Christmas!

Disappointment

Who, you may wonder, am I disappointed in? None other than Albert Pujols. If you live under a rock, let me fill you in. Today, Albert is planning to sign with the Los Angeles Angels for a 10 year $250 million contract.
Albert began playing in the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2001 and has only played for the Cardinals in his career. He has definitely made his mark in major league baseball, please don't get me wrong. However, the more media attention he got over the years, the more greedy he got. Albert graduated from high school in Independence, Missouri and went to college in Kansas City. He's a Missouri boy. Or at least he was.

This year, the St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series. Was Albert Pujols the MVP of the series? Not even close, it was David Freese. Not that David Freese was the only great player on the team, because, outside of a few errors, the St. Louis Cardinals played their asses off. But, last I heard, Albert Pujols was the ever feared power hitter for the Cards. Funny, he must not have gotten the memo for the whole World Series event, because he was a pop flying machine all the way.

Now, everyone is so worried about the St. Louis Cardinals never winning another game again because the "beloved" Albert Pujols has left, but not me. With a new manager coming in (I love you Tony LaRussa and you will be greatly missed), and now with Albert leaving, the Cards have something to prove. And do you know what I think? I think they are going to be out to prove a point. They are a team to be reckoned with, period. They still have an entire team filled with amazing players! So good luck and good riddens to you, Mr. Money Hungry Albert Pujols. You have definitely shown your true colors today, sir. You do not deserve to wear Cardinal Red.

Jordan sucks.....

I'd like to start this blog post out by saying Jordan sucks. I handed her her ass while bowling and then she was so overcome with jealousy that she didn't even tell me, her own sister who loves her whole heartedly, good bye when she went back to college after Thanksgiving Break.
Other than that, Breaking Dawn Part 1 is the best movie I've ever seen and I expect Breaking Dawn Part 2 to be even better. I wish Rob Kardashian or Ricki Lake would've won Dancing With the Stars. I am stoked that Pentatonix won The Sing Off. Jordan sucks. Thanksgiving was really good and I can't wait for Christmas. I am done Christmas shopping and also birthday shopping for my 2 January babies. I cried during the season finale of Sister Wives. I certainly hope there is a new Grey's Anatomy on this Thursday or I may cry again. Tonight they are doing Biggest Loser makeovers, so that will be exciting. Jordan sucks. I NEED a good book to read. The last few I've read have been kind of disappointing :( I hope my family doesn't get this 24 hour flu bug that is going around. I have Christmas' every weekend from now until Christmas :)
And I will end this post by saying, in the most loving way, because I love my sister with all my heart, that Jordan sucks.
Thank you.

World Series

Dear Tony LaRussa,

I've heard of "you win some you lose some", but not "you win ONE, you lose ONE". Now let's be serious here. It's obvious that your entire team is full of winners. One would say they're the best. However, maybe you could give them a slight pep talk before each game so that they show up playing their best as well. I am a major fan and am over the moon that you guys have the chance to win the World Series, but I'm afraid if your guys keep going back and forth, my blood pressure is going to sky rocket by the end of the week. I'm going to need you to use more of your bull pen strength and let Pujols, Holliday and Berkman know that they are called "power hitters" for a specific reason, to hit the ball into the stands. I sure hope my suggestions help, I know if you would follow them, we could win the next two straight games and call this World Series WON! Wouldn't that be fantastic?! So let's do this! I want to see this after the next two games, please!

With much respect, because I think you're the man,

Aimee

Wonders of the World

I wonder about so many things all the time. Why is this this way? What is that that way? What for? It all results in much wasted time that I could be using to love up my babies and husband, or teach my babies about our amazing God. I've been reading some really amazing books with tons of inspirational scripture in them. I mean, like, broken down so I can understand what's actually being said! Believe me, it makes a big difference to me. I love being a Child of God and having a chance to step back and realize that the only thing that matters is right now. I want my children to have this revelation too!

A lot has happened since I last blogged. First off, my teeny tiny 7 year old is turning into a toothless wonder. She has lost 2 teeth in the past 2 weeks, 1 on bottom and 1 on top, and both she pulled herself at school. Did you know school nurses are not allowed to pull teeth? I understand why, I just never knew that before my child became a tooth pulling freak. Within days of her pulling her second tooth (the one on top) were her school pictures! I can't wait to show her that one when she's in high school!
Myer is the same. He has finally pushed through 1 bottom eye tooth, but is still struggling with the other 3. He sleeps through the night some and others he's up a bajillion times. He goes right back to sleep, but he wants a drink, or can't find his paci, etc, etc. Last night was one of those nights.....2 weeks ago today, a horrible thing happened in our Klinge Klan. Boomer, the beloved family yellow labrador was hit by a fellow farmers grain truck and passed away. It was very sudden and beyond devastating. Luckily, last Thursday, Boomer led Fred to a 10 1/2 week old yellow lab puppy in Carrollton whom is now named Bennett. No dog will ever replace Boomer, but Bennett will be a great edition to the family for sure!
Here's a wonder for you.....THE CARDINAL'S ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!!! Can you believe it? Who'd have thunk it? It's fantastic! Wednesday night, you can guarantee we'll be rooting for the Card's to start out strong and show those Texas Rangers who's boss!Don't worry, I'm still keeping up with all of my reality tv, along with Grey's Anatomy and loving them all! Tonight, however, I'll be skipping Dancing with the Stars to celebrate the birthday of one of my BESTIES! YAY! A GIRL'S DINNER! Perfection!

Showoff

Here is an actual picture of the race where Aaron got first. They actually had to go through this barn! And either there's a slight jump coming out of it, or he's just a showoff. I have yet to determine my opinion!Poor Elisabetta on Dancing with the Stars. She really did improve from last week, but I think she just didn't have a big enough fan base. I mean, honestly, you can say she's an Italian model until you're blue in the face, but the few people that actually did know who she was, knew because she dated George Clooney. I still think David Arquette should've gone, though, he's pretty not so good. Of course Biggest Loser was on last night, and I guess I'm good with the choice to send Boston Johnny home, but I think Bonnie should, at least, be the next to go. Just my opinion, folks, take it or leave it for sure!I finished my Joyce Meyer "Battlefield of the Mind" book yesterday. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING. She helps to put you on the right path to being a true believer and live in the life of Christ. She uses awesome scriptures, and breaks them down for the feeble minded ones (myself) to truly understand and identify with. 17 thumbs up! I will definitely be reading more of her books in the VERY near future!!!!!That's all I've got, I really only blogged because I have a new awesome picture of my brother's last race, but being a chatty Kathy, I've always got something else to talk about!

Number One

For starters, I would just like to congratulate my awesome brother for a first place finish at his race this past weekend in Jenkins, Missouri. He was first in his heat and twenty-sixth overall, which is fantastic since there were like a hundred and forty-some riders! I have always been proud of Aaron, no matter what, but he is a really super talented rider and it just blows my pride right out of the water! (Notice: the picture below is from a different race, because this one was three and a half hours away, so no one went to watch.....and then he won the darn thing!)Secondly, a friend of mine posted this as their status on facebook and it is cute:

An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and he turned to her and said, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with a fellow passenger." The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the atheist, "What would you want to talk about?" "Oh, I don't know, " said the atheist. "How about why there is no God?" as he smiled smugly. "Ok," she said. "That could be an interesting topic, but let me ask you a question first: A horse, a cow and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?" The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea." To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss why there is no God when you don't know shit?" And then she went back to reading her book.

God is real people! He gave up his only son for our sins, so that we may live a life like Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit. I may not know much about all things Christian, but I am a true believer and I am becoming stronger everyday! Sometimes I think this world is turned around backwards. I feel like, for a while, I was turned around too, but I'm headed out of the wilderness now! "I believe God. I believe He is working in me no matter what I may feel or how the situation may look. The Lord has begun a good work in me, and He will bring it to full completion" (see Phil. 2:13; 1:6)
