Bathtub Tale

The captain of the tug boat came upon a strange naked creature in the sea.

Before he could turn his boat back toward safety, the captain was knocked into the perilous waters.

The crew tried to save their fearless captain, but to no avail.

:( Crybaby :(

I meant to blog yesterday, but I couldn't seem to make myself. Yesterday, my dear friends, was a very BIG day. July 20, 2010. Exactly 6 months from January 20, 2010. That's right, my teeny, tiny, itty, bitty baby boy was 6 months old yesterday. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? As if it isn't bad enought that my wee, little, mini, petite baby girl is starting 1st grade in 1 month and 2 days. Crazy. WAH, WAH, WAH!!!!!

Flyin By

I have been a very bad blogger recently. You'll have to forgive me, I've been trying to fit in all the Kailyn time I could get! We have been very busy these past 2 weeks! Here's the scoop:

#1 - Kailyn LOVES Nelson! She rarely puts him down! She is a great help to me having a new puppy in the house!

#2 - Nelson is such a PUPPY! He bites, he chews, he pees.....but he's really cute.
#3 - Kailyn can swim by herself! I'm talking like a fish! She is all over the pool, and we are super proud!
#4 - Myer can sit up by himself! Just one more notch on his "big boy" belt, and yet another last "first".
#5 - Myer LOVES water! Bathtub or swimming pool, he doesn't care, he just digs the splashing!

Swim lessons, final T-ball game, Birthday parties and Playdates. Unfortunately today was the beginning of another 2 week session with Kailyn's dad. On the bright side, it's the last one of the summer!!!!! *sigh of relief*
Did you know school registration is in less than a month? Or school starts in just a little over a month? As soon as Kailyn gets home from her dad's, she has American Idol Camp, then Cheer Camp, then Registration, and then School, Dance and Cheer start full time! Did you know that in 2 days I'll have a 6 month old? A 6 year old and a 6 month old.....crazy.
Well, Myer didn't sleep the greatest last night, so I'm off to a bath and bed, with a little reading before I drift off! By the way, I really dig Stephenie Meyer and I'd never give up on her, but The Host has been pretty hard to read. It's getting better, but I've really had to push to keep going. I'll probably be able to finish it this week.
I hope everyone is staying cool, it's HOT out there! Don't forget your furry friends!

2 Thumbs Up

Eclipse. Loved it! I give it 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up! It was everything I wanted it to be. I can't wait for it to come out on Blu Ray. Becca, Jordan, Kailyn and I went to the 7pm show last night. It was Jordan's 3rd time to see it, silly girl, especially at those prices! For Kailyn and I, plus a bag of plain m&m's, it was $17.78! That's highway robbery. However, when we got home and Kailyn was tucked in bed, she said, "Thanks for letting me watch Eclipse, Mommy." That's priceless.
GO SEE THE MOVIE! ~I *heart* EDWARD~

Tiny Dancer

For those of you who don't know, So You Think You Can Dance is my FAVORITE show! My family is required to be quiet during performances and no phone calls are taken. I am 100% dedicated! Last night was a performance show, and the whole fam was watching, when Robert and Ashley had to do the quick step. This is the conversation that followed ~

Me: "This is my least favorite style to watch," as Kailyn got up and started hopping around imitating the dancers.
Kailyn: "I don't know why they say this is hard, I think it's easy!"
Me: "Well, it's easier for you because you're doing more of a jive, but in the quick step you have to have a partner and keep your frame set."
Kailyn: "Oh, I don't want to dance with a partner,"
Me:"Why not, you may be really good at it!"
Kailyn: "Would you come watch me?"
Me: "I'd come watch you do any kind of dance, except pole dancing!"
Kailyn: "What's pole dancing?"
Me (with my foot in my mouth): "Oh, where girls swing around a pole and do weird tricks"
Kailyn: "And you wouldn't even watch me"
Me: "No"
Kailyn: "What kind of Mother are you?"

Summertime.....

What a gorgeous week last week! Sun shiny, not too terribly hot and not crazy busy! We had an awesome time with some awesome friends on Saturday to celebrate our freedom here in the U.S.A.. There was swimming, yummy food, lots of laughter and we ended with really nice fireworks! The only thing that would've made it better was Kailyn, but she did come home on Sunday! Woo Hoo! She had a blast on her and her dad's annual float trip!We ordered pizza, hung out with Joe's mom, sister, brother and niece and shot some fireworks in the driveway and then watched the park fireworks just the four of us, on the 4th. By the way, Kailyn had not met Nelson until she came home on Sunday, and I'm pretty sure she hasn't put him down yet. Between Myer and Nelson, she's been one busy girl!
Monday was pretty relaxed. Kailyn had swim lessons in the morning, but it had started to rain and Joe said the storms were right on top of us so we shouldn't go. Needless to say, Kailyn missed her first lesson.....oops. Luckily, her Aunt Jordan will be taking her for the remainder of the lessons and, since she teaches them, she also HAS to be there! Honestly, after not going to those, the only time we left the house was to go to Wal-Mart (and I left once to get my daily Sonic Tea). We did do some swimming in the backyard in the kiddie pool, and the ice cream truck drove by, so we flagged him down! Who doesn't love an ice cream truck in the summer time? Papa and Mimi also stopped by on their way back in town from the lake.
Anywho, other than continuing swim lessons, we don't have many plans for this week. We are planning to see Eclipse with friends one day.....I CAN'T WAIT! Myer was possibly held more this past weekend than ever in his life, so he was acting quite spoiled last night. As in crying unless he was being held or he wouldn't sleep, spoiled. Therefore, Mommy got no sleep last night, and boy is she tired.....Come on 4:30pm!
By the way, if you'll notice, Kailyn's hair is in a low ponytail in every single picture she's in. She can "fix her own hair" now. I am only allowed to fix it if "we are going somewhere important or we have pictures"! AND.....Last night I put my Sonic cup on Kailyn's American Girl Catalog on the coffee table and when she came downstairs, she said, "Seriously, Mom, my magazine?". Busted. THEN.....I can't remember exactly what happened, but Joe said he couldn't do something or was scared of something or something to that effect, and Kailyn said, "Oh come on, Joe, man up!" He said, "She gets that from you," to me, and Kailyn said, "Actually I got it from Freddy on iCarly". BAHAHAHAHAHA! Have a great day.
