In Excess

It's ok to breath now, folks, Christmas is officially over. What a magical holiday, though, right? Let me just tell you that Kailyn got everything she could possibly ever have asked for plus more. Even baby Myer received presents! My goodness. Kailyn went to her dad's around 2pm on Christmas day and will come home tomorrow at 6pm, but she took her treasured Santa gift with her for the weekend, rest assure! Ole St Nic brought her the BEST present EVER. The only thing she asked the jolly man for was an American Girl Doll Kit or Julie. Now, she has a "Just Like You" American Girl, but has been dying for "Emma" to have a sister/friend/roommate. Below is a picture of the elated threesome:
I'm telling you, she LOVES those Girls!
Now it is almost Birthday/Baby time. Kailyn will be 6 on January 13th, we'll be celebrating on January 10th, and our induction date for meeting Myer is January 19th. As you all know, I am quite a planner, so after a well deserved nap on Friday, I arose and took down ALL of the Christmas decor and put all the new gifts away. Joe and I went to Wal-Mart today to take advantage of the 50% off Christmas items for next year and got a new 7 foot tree for $49!!!!! Anyway, once the New Year arrives, we will be on a downward slope. We'll be super busy up until baby arrival with wrestling/the Marshall Invitational and Birthday/Jonas Brother's Party! I also need to master my Big Top Cupcake before January 10th, as that is what Kailyn wants for her party.
Speaking of As Seen On TV items, I seem to really like them.....and apparently my baby girl does too! My brother, Stephen, got me a Perfect Brownie pan and my Mom and Stepdad got me an MU Snuggie and I'd have to say they are my favorite gifts (other than the new Super Mario Bros game that my Stepmom got me so I can play it on Kailyn's DS - yes, I have to ask her permission to use it!). And Kailyn got the Touch N Brush from my Mom and a pink Snuggie from my Aunt Brenda. We are obviously two peas in a pod!

Well, I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and has a very safe and Happy New Year!

Funny Story

In actuality, I have a couple funny stories.....Enjoy!
*The other night I was flipping through the channels and stopped at the intriguing show I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant. Being the good parents we are, Joe and I decided to watch it, coming to the conclusion that Kailyn would just think that this was a show where babies were born. NEVER underestimate the brain power of an almost 6 year old. The first lady had conceived when her recently born baby boy was 2 months old. The night she delivered, she said she just felt like she had to go to the bathroom really bad, however, when she sat on the toilet, she felt the urge to push and immediately knew what was happening. She stood up, pushed and delivered her baby girl. To this, Kailyn said, "Oh my gosh, Mom, after you have the baby, DO NOT poop." Joe and I chuckled behind her and tried to let the comment disappear on it's own. But do you think we turned the show off.....well, NO! The second lady had a one night stand and didn't know she was pregnant. The night she delivered, she also just thought she was constipated and spent lots of time on the toilet. She remembered not being able to get comfy. After being on the toilet for quite a while and doing a lot of pushing, she gave up and laid in her bed. The pain was so bad she called 911. At the same time she felt an odd sensation "in the wrong area" (if you know what I mean) and there came her baby! After this one, Kailyn said, "Mom, whatever you do, if you have to poop, DO NOT PUSH!" Now, you can't blame any of this on my sweet baby girl, just her horrible parents who let her watch the show, so at that point I simply said, "Thank You", and turned the channel. Please don't turn us in, I promise we'll be more careful with our tv show selection!
Kids are just so funny! It's amazing what they really pick up on. I was telling Joe's Mom the above stories, and she shared one of her own.
*When Joe was in the womb, his sister, Stephanie, was close to Kailyn's age now. Well, Stephanie had been with Fred on the farm for several years at this point and had witnessed many farm happenings (ex: birth, castration, etc). Anywho, as Joe's arrival was nearing, little Stephanie wanted to comfort her Mama. She said, "Mom, don't worry, if you have any trouble getting him out, I'll tie a rope around his feet and pull him out." While that is a wonderful method for cattle, Robin kept her eyes wide open for Steph to grab her jumprope!

NEWSFLASH

Yesterday was yet another morning at the dr's office. Our appointment was at 9:20am, and when we finally saw the dr at 10:20am, we only talked to him for about 5 minutes. He measured me and said everything is sizeably where it should be, my weight gain is perfect (thank you, mean people), my blood pressure is great and Myer is head down. All of this is definitely fantastic news, except he said that since everything looks so good, he won't be doing another sonogram :( I just wanted one more little sneak peak of our baby boy before he was born. You know, make sure all his organs are where they're supposed to be and functioning properly, make sure he's not HUGE and check on his boy parts (come on, readers, sonographers make mistakes). Oh well, I feel really super good about the fact that our dr is comfortable with our little man's health! At that point in the appointment, the doc asked if we had any questions or concerns, to which I responded, "This is kind of a bad question, but I was just wondering, well, how long you'll make me go?" That's right, I'm pretty forward. He then asked me what I had in mind, and I said, "Well, January 20th". *Explanation: January 20th is exactly one week after big sister, Kailyn's birthday, one week before Myer's due date and Joe and I's 3 year anniversary* And do you know what our dr said after some checking? "Ok, January 20th seems like a good day! What I'll do is have you guys come in on January 19th at 10pm to get started, let's go ahead and put it on the books so that no one takes your spot." Are you serious!?!? I have been on cloud9 ever since! If Myer doesn't make his appearance before, I have a date to plan on! Oh and I'm a super planner, so this rocks!!!!!
Did you know it's only 8 days until Christmas? I could jump out of my seat I'm so excited! We will celebrate this Saturday, the 19th, with my Dad, stepmom, brother and baby sister, on Christmas Eve with the Klinge's and on Christmas Day with Santa first; then my Mom, stepdad and brothers; then on to my Gma's with my immediate fam; then Kailyn will go to her Dad's :(; then to my Aunt's for dinner with my extended fam! Whew, this preggo is going to be TIRED by the end of the day, fo sho, but I LOVE every minute of it! I hope everyone is as stoked as I am to see all their fam(s) and eat lots of good food. I honestly CANNOT wait.....until I have to find Kailyn's presents a home, that could be tricky. I'd better get my rear in gear, people, I've got lots to do today. And soon after I get off work here, I will go to the high school and run the clock/scoreboard for the 1st Home Wrestling Meet of the season for the MHS Owls! I can't wait to watch my hubby's wrestlers in action, they have been working really hard this season!
I will leave you with a preggo cartoon that hopefully no one finds offensive. Believe me, if you've ever been pregnant, this will apply. Have a great week!

Creativity on the Loose

So my last post was on November 30th, seriously? Wow, I'm a crappy blogger. Well, you haven't missed much for sure. When you're the size of a small motor home, you can't get into many shenanigans (thank you, Juno), and therefore tend to lead a pretty boring life. These days I spend most of my time soaking up every single second of Kailyn, who will be an only child for about 5 - 6 more weeks. Please don't get me wrong, I CANNOT wait to meet Myer, but I could burst with how much I love my baby girl. She has turned into a 100% Mommy's girl since finding out about Myer and is having a few slight problems with the idea of sharing Mommy and Joe. I know once he is here, she will be the most amazing big sister on the face of the planet, but I want to make sure that they always both feel equally loved! On that note, Kailyn's school Christmas Tea was yesterday morning at Stonehedge and Mommy and Joe BOTH attended! All the kids got to dress up and they had donuts and juice. It was super cute!

Today, onto the OB's office to check on Baby Myer. I would have to guess he's weighing in at about 15 pounds by now, or at least that's the way it seems. I can't go anywhere without people saying, "When are you due again?" to which I respond, "The end of January," and after the person or people wipe the shocked look off their face(s) try to kindly coverup by saying, "Are you sure you'll last that long?" or "Did you get that big with Kailyn?". Listen people, don't you understand that pregnant people are EXTREMELY emotional/hormonal? People may think that since you have a big tummy and you're usually somewhat smaller that it's ok to make fat jokes or vulgur comments, but it's not so much. It hurts my feelings. I don't know how many times since the beginning of this pregnancy I have asked my Mom or Mandi if I look like I'm going to explode or look massively bigger than I should. They assure me that I don't, but they also love me very much, so they could possibly be lying. All in all, my weight gain is almost exactly the same as with Kailyn at this point, so I feel pretty good about that! I guess that's all that matters!
My biggest problem with my pregnancy (besides the fact that I feel like my son is going to break out of my skin on a daily basis), is the nesting. I worked 90 hours a week up until the Friday before Kailyn was born, so I never really had time to think about all the things that were happening to my body. Now, don't get me wrong, I keep my house very clean no matter what, my friends can vouge for how picky I am about cleanliness, but I started cleaning my house last Saturday in preparation for holiday guests, and it turned into a much bigger job. I caught myself, while vacuuming, taking the attachments off so that I could get on my hands and knees and vacuum under the dressers and such. Who the hell vacuums under their dressers? Well, apparently when you have maroon carpet you notice a lot more. If I'm not careful, that carpet will be the death of me.....and my back! Whomever came up with the idea of "Nesting" is stupid.
Fortunately, I've become somewhat creative in my current state. I don't know why, maybe it's the nesting, but I feel like things should be especially decorated while we wait for the arrivals of both Santa Claus and Myer Klinge. My biggest accomplish has been a work in progress for a while now. Here's the scoop: For our wedding, Joe and I got an awesome piece of framed artwork that says "KLINGE" in really cool different letters. Some of our friends gave it to us from http://www.letteryourlegacy.com/, and it was our favorite gift. We actually almost got 2! Anywho, when Joe's cousin got married, his sister actually made one of the "Name Frames" for him and his wife. It was fantastic, and so personal, I loved it! Well, the more I thought about it, I decided I could do this too. I got on http://www.letteryourlegacy.com/ and checked out all their letters and thought about different places in town. Then I came to a new page for kids. They used all sorts of different sports and play equipment. HELLO! Perfect for our little wrestler on the way, right? Oh yes. I took all the pictures of MYER's name and had it matted and framed at Square Corner in MHS colors. Check me out!
The "M" is from Daddy's coaches hat, the "Y" is from a brand new box of baseballs that Bubba let us borrow from the MHS baseball team, the "E" is from Daddy's wrestling shoes plus one more, and the "R" is big sister Kailyn's soccer ball and shin guards. You guys had no idea I had an ounce of creativity, did you? Me neither, but I wanted this to work so so bad, and it actually did! We are now working on KAILYN, whom, after she saw Myer's frame, wanted to do her name too! I am totally on it, stay tuned for the finished product!
My other sweet piece of creativity came to life last night. I get these fantastic ideas for family fun projects, but usually get ditched along the way and end up all alone. My most recent was a Gingerbread Tree! I actually got all the stuff out and my family didn't even last through making the icing. I made the whole stinking tree by myself! Oh well, it didn't turn out too bad, so I shall display it proudly, both at home and on my blog!
Well people, I have babbled quite enough. I can't promise any certain time span for another post, but I will be sure to keep everyone updated on Kailyn's Christmas splendor and Myer's growing achievement! If I don't post before, I definitely hope everyone has a most wonderful, safe and Happy Holiday!!!!!

Counting Down

Whew, what a busy week last week! I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving, I know we did, but I think I may have eaten a bit too much. Of course, after I ate my own weight in food (twice), we got up and went to Wal-Mart at 4:30am Friday morning. People had to have thought we were crazy walking in, it was me, Joe, Joe's mom, brother, sister and brother in law! We looked like a gang on a mission! I'll tell you what, though, we got everything we went for, except a 14 piece pyrex set for me that I never could find. I assume I was too late! However, a PS3, 2 trampolines, a card table and chairs, a 20 inch bike, a 32 inch tv, a portable dvd player, a 7 foot Christmas tree and several games, toys and movies later, we felt pretty darned successful!
CUTENESS ALERT!
I am certain everyone has met Miss Evie Lou Coleman on facebook by now, but if not, check out these sweet cheeks! Evie was born on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at 8:40am. Let me just tell you, Bucky and Erica make gorgeous babies, and Evie is just more proof of that! Congrats to the proud parents, big sis, Averi and big bro, Will!
So I've moved into Countdown Mode. These next two months are going to be flying by and I feel like I've got tons to do to be ready. Joe has his first wrestling meet in 2 days in Chillicothe. It's actually a tri, so it'll be pretty late when he gets home. He's got 5 days until his first tournament of the year, the Park Hill Tournament. I've got 5 days until our Family Shower for Myer's arrival. This also means I've only got 5 more days until I can purchase any extra necessities that will be needed for his Homecoming. There are only 25 more days until Christmas. I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I can't wait for Kailyn to see what Santa brings her and to open her presents from Joe and Mommy. Speaking of Christmas, directly following is Kailyn's 6th Birthday. Yep, 44 days and my teeny weeny little baby girl will be 6 years old! We are having a Jonas Brothers party. That means I am due in 58 days! I honestly only have like 8 weeks left, that's insane. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nervous about the whole "giving birth" thing, but I am 100% ready to meet our baby boy too! What's so funny is that I have my countdown widgets on the right side, and while they're accurate in counting, Myer just wishes he had that much room in there. According to most websites, this is more like it:

That's right, our poor baby boy is smooshed in there. Oh, and his growth spurt is just now really getting started.
Well, it is now 10am and I should probably get some work done. Or at least get more details from Melissa about GETTING ENGAGED LAST NIGHT! Woo Hoo! Congratulations Mike and Melissa! Now for some babies!
Everyone have a great week!

Giving Thanks!

Today may be somewhat of a sentimental post, so if you're not in the mood, you may as well call it quits here.
As Thanksgiving Day is only 3 days away, I have been thinking about all the wonderful things in my life that I am thankful for. There are so many things, I would like to touch on a few:
#1 - My husband and my babies - I waited my whole life for a man to sweep me off my feet and love me the way that Joe does. He is so wonderful and I don't think I could live this life without him, I love him more than words can say. I am also so blessed with Kailyn and Myer. I know Myer is not here yet, but he is a miracle every single day with every single movement he makes. I cannot wait to meet our sweet baby boy and kiss him all over. Kailyn, oh Kailyn, is the most amazing little girl on the face of the planet. She is super intelligent, gorgeous, compassionate, imaginative and everything else you could think of to describe the perfect daughter! I am so lucky.
#2 - My family (with an emphasis on my mama) - Where to even start.....I was raised in a very close knit family and was taught the value of togetherness from birth. And honestly, to get the world's #1 mom mixed in as a best friend, it doesn't get any better than that. My mom is amazingly smart, strong and adventurous, she is my HERO. Also, from the time I was little, I always begged for a little sister. Who knew I'd have to be 18 to finally get one? While Jordan and I may be 10 years apart, we certainly don't let that bother us. Speaking of 18, today is my sweet baby sister's 18th birthday. Happy Birthday, Jordan! Jordan is beautiful, ambitious, goal driven and extremely dedicated. She is a role model for anyone!
#3 - My friends - There's no need for any explanation here. Bottom line is this.....I have the best friends on the face of the planet, and I'll argue you to the death over that statement. Once you get a certain age, you realize that friendship is more about quality than quantity, and you see through your tough times, who sticks around. My 4 greatest girlfriends, Mandi, Becca, Erica and Cathy have been at my side through thick and thin, and I hope they feel the same about me, because I would go to the ends of the Earth for them in a heartbeat. I love them very much. Speaking of best friends, there are only 22 more hours before we get to meet Baby Girl Coleman! I am ecstatic, Good Luck Bucky and Erica, I am thinking of you every second! Also, if you are reading this and you don't have plans tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 24, 2009) between 5pm and 8pm, there will be a "Ladies Night Out" Open House with At Home America, Lia Sophia, Thirty-one Gifts, Jordan Essentials and Mandi with her Pampered Chef. All these vendors will be at Wanda Frain's home--just go out towards 240/41 highway from the north end of Lafayette like you were going to Slater, but instead of going to the right and up onto the highway, head straight ahead under the overpass and on straight to the stop sign and back into the "woods" through the wooden gates there to Wanda's home!
#4 - My health - I almost hate to say things like, "I am thankful for my health", because I am very, very supersticious (however you spell that), and I feel like as soon as I say it something horrible will happen. Anywho, it's too late, I said it and I am. I am also thankful for the health of all the people who mean the most to me, for sure! (P.S. - Knock on wood)
#5 - Furry friends - I complain quite often about a certain mastiff at my residence, but the truth is, I am head over heels in love with all 3 of my dogs. Morgan, Missy and Marli are such additions to our family. They each have their own sassy personalities and love us unconditionally day in and day out. Joe and I have both been raised with loving furry friends and are hard core animal lovers for sure! This brings me back to my fabulous, strong mom. In September of 1996, my mom and stepdad brought a surprise over to see me while I was at Mandi's house. I teeny little black schnauzer puppy whom we named "Beau". Beau has been my "brother" for 13 years now, and is the reason I bought Morgan, my own miniature schnauzer. Morgan and Beau have been together for 9 years. Beau has had a few problems over the years with some fatty tumors, but they were removed and labeled "nothing serious". As he has aged, the vet always said that it was more of a risk for Beau to undergo the surgery to remove non-invasive tumors, and not to worry about them unless they were harmful. Unfortunately within the last week, two of the tumors on Beau's chest have caused him to not be able to walk or eat very well. On Friday, the vet told my mom that the larger tumor has grown into his nerve, and that even if Beau could withstand surgery, they wouldn't be able to get it out. The vet begged my mom, saying for Beau's sake and quality of life, to let him go. I've never lost a pet like this, I've come close with my dad's 10 year old St. Bernard, Kaytee, but she pulled through. Not this time. Kailyn and I went out to my mom's on Saturday and took Morgan so we could hang out with Beau on his final weekend. Before we left, I went inside by myself and kissed my sweet childhood pet and told him how wonderful of a dog he was and how much I loved him. Tuesday is the day. My mom and stepdad will take our beloved Beau to the vet's office and stay with him while a sedative is administered and love on him until he is sleeping soundly. They will then leave and Beau will receive the last dose of medicine. I am 100% not ready, but this is not about me. I am so thankful for the time I have had with Beau. I am thankful for the times he has listened and not judged and has loved me unconditionally, no matter what mistakes I've made. I am thankful for everyday I have and will have with my three dogs. They are truly like my children. I am also thankful that I can get all this off my chest on here to my 2 or 3 readers so that I may be there for my mom when she needs me the most.
Whew.....Well I guess that wasn't too awful except for that last one, right? I am super thankful for all the wonderful things in my life!
BTW, I had a friends baby shower this past Saturday, and our little Myer now has diapers and wipes, lotion, soap, towels, toys and clothes! He can be a fresh smellin', fly dressed, fun lovin' sweet baby boy. (Thank you so much Mandi and Nancy and everyone that came!) I have a family shower on December 5th too. YAY! He's going to have to look super cute for his first meeting with Baby Girl Coleman, you know!
I'm sorry if I brought you down, but I'm not sorry if I made you think, even for one single second, about all the things you're thankful for. Life is too short to take anything for granted. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, all!

Sneak Peeks

What a MONDAY! I did not really have a great start to my week. I got up this morning, a little late as always, and began to get ready. I had to stop in the middle of that for a quick nose bleed, but got it stopped pretty fast and got Kailyn out of bed and got her breakfast. She was moving rather slow, but I hustled her along and got her breakfast down and got her dressed and her hair fixed. When we went to put on her shoes, however, she stopped in her tracks and said, "Mom, will these jeans stretch more today to cover my shoes?". I had purposely grabbed her some bootcut jeans so they wouldn't drag the cold, wet ground, but when I told her that, she replied, "Well I'd just prefer some different shoes then.". Seriously? She's not even 6 yet! But no worries, readers, I got the little DIVA the shoes of her choice and we headed out the door. Now, even though I had gotten up a little late, I was still doing pretty well on time. We pulled up to Kailyn's school at 7:35am. It was just barely sprinkling, so I didn't get out with the umbrella to walk her in. She grabbed her backpack and headed toward the school. She got inside and the counselor was sitting at a small desk right inside and held up his hand for a Good Morning High Five. When Kailyn went for connection, though, she busted her little rump! I started to unbuckle to get out and run to her, but Mr Stewart jumped up and waved that she was ok. He then had her hop up and turn to me to give me her own "I'm ok" wave. Her's was more of an "I'm not really sure which hurts worse, my butt or my pride, but I'm sure as hell not going to cry in front of all these people, although I'd really rather run to my mommy and have her hold me" look/wave. So I waved back with a huge smile and blew her a kiss and as soon as she turned around, I broke down. It was the saddest thing ever, all I could think was, "If I had gotten up when I should have, I could have walked her in and she certainly wouldn't have fallen!". Not worried about my lateness at this point, I sat there and bawled until I couldn't see her anymore and then pulled off to work. I can't wait to pick her up for dance today and ask her if she's ok. I sent an e-mail to her teacher to make sure, but I haven't heard back from her yet. I certainly hope my week will look up, especially since I have to have my sugar retested tomorrow at the DR and will have to be there for at least 4 hours.
Now on to the title! I have 2 sneak peeks for you today. Not cool sneak peeks like Kathy's blog, I only WISH I was half as photographically talented, but peeks nonetheless. I did some major work on Myer's baby book this past weekend. Last night, Joe, Kailyn and I were gathering some pictures to go in it (sonogram, mommy and daddy, big sister, etc), and I didn't have one I needed. There's a big space on a page that says, 'Picture of Mommy Pregnant'. Yikes.....I've thought and thought about this issue. I have one picture of my bare belly from when I was pregnant with Kailyn. I was about 4 or 5 months and my mom begged me. Well, I really thought that since this was my last pregnancy, maybe I should get some belly shots. The more I thought about that, I couldn't really see paying good money for pictures of my whaleness that I would only shove away in a dark place so noone could see them. Back to 'Picture of Mommy Pregnant', I felt like there should be one, I mean, Kailyn has one in her baby book, so I asked Joe and Kailyn to take one. This, my friends, could be extremely harmful to your eyes or stomachs (depending on if you just ate), so please use caution before proceeding!
My next sneak peek is much more pleasing to other humans. Our Christmas card will have a picture of my sweet, angelic, gorgeous, only 5 for 1.5 more months baby girl and a picture of my skeleton ultrasound at 18 weeks, active 24 hours a day, only in the womb for 1.5 more months baby boy. Here are my gorgeous babies (and Yes, that is a tutu on her Christmas pajamas, it came with them and Kailyn and I both LOVE it!):

People, I hope you had a great weekend, and I hope we ALL have a great week! Only 10 more days until Thanksgiving, so don't forget to be thankful for all you've got!

Centuries

Last night was a big night for the Klinge's. Not just our Klinge's, but Joe's Dad, Mom, aunt, brothers and sister! The Fred and Robin Klinge owned farm became a Century Farm in Saline County last night. For those of you who are clueless like myself, that means that this particular farm has been family owned in Saline County for over 100 years. The Klinge Farm was established in 1897. It is a very cool accomplishment. All the fam was at the induction ceremony!Another century marker is also upon me. Maybe just a decade, but sometimes it sure feels like a century. This weekend is the 10 year reunion of the MHS Class of 1999! Tonight the class is meeting at Hustler's from 9pm - close, and tomorrow is a hayride in the park from 2pm - 4pm for the kiddo's, followed by a social, dinner and dance at the Martin Community Center. Joe and I will be attending Hustler's tonight, but Kailyn is at her dad's this weekend, so the hayride is out, and there are only like two things I can eat without getting horrid indigestion, so we also opted out of the $25 - $30 per person dinner. I will be glad to get to see people tonight, though, preggo and all!
Last weekend was extremely successful for decorating! All the decor is up, including the outdoor lights (Thank You, Joe) and all the presents are wrapped and under the tree. Well, except for Kailyn's, which will be wrapped this weekend while she is not home! Please don't curse at me as you read this, I just really love Christmas, and I'm really super organized.
Did you people see Private Practice last night? I mean, honestly, who saw that coming? I thought for sure if one of those people was going to die it was going to be the husband, James. WTF! Tearjerker for sure! Don't get me wrong, Grey's was ok too, but Private Practice was hold your breath, cry, wait for the last second of the show good!
I'm sorry I don't have much and haven't this past week, but it's been pretty boring in my world. And I'm pretty excited about it!

'Tis the Season

How exciting is today? Not only is it Friday, but tonight we are getting out all the Christmas decor! Kailyn and I are going to go through all the goodies we have tonight and see if we need any new items. Then we will deck the halls tomorrow! I'm SO excited, and Kailyn is too! I'm not too sure how excited Joe is, but hopefully he'll feel jolly before the end of the weekend.

Have a fantabulous weekend, the weather is supposed to be beautiful. Oh, and GO TIGERS!

We're Not In Kansas Anymore

Now, I have two reasons for the title.
#1:

Self explanatory, right? Isn't Kailyn the cutest Dorothy this side of Oz?! These are before we went Trick or Treating around the Square. Well actually, we made it around two sides before the lightning. We were ok when it was pouring rain, but I don't mess with the lightning, especially when my 5 year old is holding an umbrella! We had fun, nonetheless!

#2:
Not so self explanatory. Well let me just tell you that my gorgeous, talented, intelligent, fantastic sister received her acceptance letter to the University of Missouri, Columbia yesterday! That's right, she'll be a Tiger next fall, majoring in Pre-Law. That's one more NON-JAYHAWK! I'm so proud of her, and I know she's going to be great!

Don't get too excited that I blogged twice in one week, I just had some pictures and exciting news to share. I will leave you with the 27 weeks pregnant cartoon from baby-gaga.com, I'm certain it sums up every pregnant woman in America's emotional state! Happy Monday!

That's right, I said, "Happy Monday"! And I mean it too. I know darn good and well that today is Wednesday, but it has been so horrible that I'm positive it's Monday. I also know that I haven't blogged in a week and two days, oops!
Let's catch up first. Last Wednesday was Kailyn's very first "official" Parent-Teacher Conference. Joe had mandatory CPR class, so I went and Jeff met Kailyn and I there. Come to find out, my kid is fantastic! I obviously knew this already, although I may be a bit biased. Actually, the teacher really did say that she is doing extremely well and is REALLY ready to read. She is going to start working with a handful of "ready readers" individually during rest time to really get them reading. Let me just tell you, she amazes me. She can read whole books by herself, and she LOVES it! Don't get me wrong, I had to get her some new books because I had heard Hop on Pop quite enough, but I love to hear her read. Reminds me of me! Oh, and Joe did good in his class too, so if your life is in danger, just let me know and I'll send him your way!
Saturday was Jordan's very last home high school volleyball game EVER! Of course Joe and I went, Kailyn was at her dad's, but we apparently went way too early. The freshmen ended up playing 3 games, followed by the JV girls also playing 3 games, so the Varsity game that should've started around 1pm, started closer to 3pm. Wow. But I wouldn't have missed it for the world! Joe and I rented Land of the Lost Saturday night, and I recommend that you never do so. We wanted to get The Proposal, but it was out, so we thought this one might be funny and we didn't find any others, so that's what we went with. TERRIBLE. If I were a movie critic, I would have given Land of the Lost one thumbs down. I know what you're saying, "Why not two thumbs down"? Well, Will Ferrell and that guy from Pineapple Express are funny guys, and as completely ignorant as the movie was, there were a couple of good laughs it. All in all, I felt as though I were a bit dumber after watching.
Tuesday was our monthly OB appointment. I gained a slim 6.2 pounds last month.....that's right, 6.2! I'm guessing I may need to watch the whole "donut eating" habit, but I don't feel too bad yet, my total weight gain at 27 weeks of pregnancy is only 18.1 pounds. I would actually be just fine with that number, had I not gained the entire 18.1 pounds in my butt and chins. Just those two places, honest. I know have an extra ass and 4 extra chins. Thanks, Myer. Speaking of him doing things that are not so nice, he wasn't too impressed with the doppler at this appointment. I think I made him mad by drinking the nasty glucose juice at 7am, because he was flipping out after I chugged it. When we got to the doctor's office, I got my blood drawn and then we went to the examination room where they always take your blood pressure and listen to the baby's heartbeat. My blood pressure was 88/44, by the way, but the doc said that's ok, "Low is a hell of a lot better than high". Anywho, the nurse put the doppler on my belly and was searching for little man's heartbeat, around and around until he kicked the doppler completely off my belly. Joe laughed out loud, but I don't really think she thought it was too funny. She then put the doppler on the other side and got his heartbeat, 155bpm. After I saw the doctor, I got my H1N1 Vaccination, WooHoo!
That brings us to today....."Monday". As I do love my donuts, I used an empty water bottle to also bring some milk for breakfast this morning. However, when I went to put the cap back on the gallon of milk, apparently I grabbed the lid to the water bottle and it fell right inside the milk. I put the lid on the milk and put it in the fridge. I also sent Joe a message to "use caution when drinking milk". On the way out the door, I pulled my glasses out of the basket, but when I tried to grab my keys, they weren't there. In a panic, because I was late as always, I dumped my purse out, still no keys. I told Kailyn I must've left them in the car and unlocked and opened the front door to go check and found my keys.....in the door handle. Yep, I left my keys in the front door all night long. Joe had locked the door and deadbolt before bed, but I guess I just wanted to make sure that if anyone wanted in or needed to borrow my car in the night, my keys would be easily accessible. Poor little Myer, I know you have not even arrived in this outside world yet, but I also blame my forgetful/clumsiness on you. But, Son, I love you with all my heart!

TODAY IS AYSON PHILLIP BOLLING'S 1ST BIRTHDAY! I tried to talk to him this morning on the phone, but he was in his highchair and much more interested in his eggs. Such a big boy!

Today is also Joe's sister, Stephanie's, birthday! Happy Birthday, Steph!

As of today, I have 13 more weeks of pregnancy. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nervous. Not about the whole new baby thing, but the whole birth thing. I had an epidural with Kailyn, which I 100% deserved for all the pitocin that was being pumped through my veins, but I would really love to deliver Myer without any medication. We'll see!
Tomorrow is Trick or Treat around the square, which is always fun! Kailyn is Dorothy for Halloween and looks flipping adorable in her costume! I'll put some pics up ASAP, promise.
By the way, please enjoy the new countdown calendar on my blog, I do love me some Christmas. And just so you know, my Christmas decorations alway go up the first weekend in November and I am almost completely done Christmas shopping (and I shop for my brother too)! Please don't quit reading my blog because I'm Merrily Psychotic!

Have a Happy Hump Day!

Another Day!

Happy Monday, everyone! Today is yet another day, and I am at work to hopefully make another dollar. Boy the weekend's just fly by, it's kind of depressing.
Joe, Kailyn and I did some major pumpkin decorating this weekend. Kailyn was supposed to be with her dad last weekend, but I traded with him for next weekend so she could be home during Homecoming festivities. Therefore, this was our last chance before Halloween to carve/paint our pumpkins. They turned out pretty awesome!
Well, that's all I've got. Just wanted to share our professional pumpkin decorating skills with you. Hope your week is fab!

The Wait Is Over!

Is it really Friday again already? Oops.....I suck at this blogging thing, huh? I'm sorry. It's been so busy lately and I just don't seem to have a second to slow down. Until now.....
My home is pretty calm right now. Kailyn is playing fun imaginary things to which I respond, "Oh yeah" or "Cool" to whatever she's saying every once in a while, Myer has quit flipping out since I ate those 2 waffles at 9pm (apparently he was hungry?) and Joe is waiting for the MHS Homecoming game to get over so he can clean up. So here I am, ready to update the high-speed world of my boring, yet busy, life.
Where to start, I guess with Kailyn getting sick again. She started running a fever again Tuesday morning. I called the dr's office and he said just to keep it down with Tylenol/Motrin and keep her on her antibiotic and call if anything gets worse. It was really frustrating, though, I mean, it was always a low grade fever, never above 100 and nothing hurt on her! She finally got to go back to school on Thursday. Of course, after being out in the cold all day and part of tonight, she says she's pretty sure she has an ear infection. Thank you, Dr Wise.
Monday was Columbus Day, woo hoo, a federal holiday. However, Kailyn still had school and Joe had to work. You're thinking, "Oh how exciting, a day to yourself", but not so much. I had to get up at the crack of dawn and take Kailyn to school, which I did in pajama pants! Obviously she wanted me to walk her in, she never does any other day, but she thought it was hilarious. Then I came home, ate some breakfast, straightened the house, got ready and was back at Kailyn's school for lunch at 11am. Joe and I missed eating lunch with her last week because she had strep, so I rescheduled it for Monday. The menu was chicken patty, french fries, pears and green beans. Not bad, right? Until the lunch lady says, "adult tray" and hands you your chicken patty with ham and swiss cheese on it. Shouldn't someone ask before they go throwing ham on your patty? After lunch, I came home again, watched some Days of Our Lives , took a cat nap and was back to pick Kailyn up from school at 3pm for dance at 3:30pm. Then we went to Cathy's 31 party at 5:30pm and spent way too much money. (OOPS, you're not reading this, are you Joe?)
I left Kailyn home with Joe on Tuesday, because it was senior night at Jordan's volleyball game. I only stayed for one game, since Kailyn was not happy that I left in the first place, but I got to see the senior presentation too! Only one more home volleyball game, isn't that sad?

Wednesday was pretty laid back. We had to skip church again because of Kailyn's fever. I told Mandi that we were coming to church next week "come hell or high water", but I guess one of them showed up, because it was cancelled next week due to school conferences. Maybe that's a sign that I shouldn't say things like "come hell or high water" when referring to church.
Thursday, oh Thursday. Remember in high school when making signs for the Homecoming Parade was fun? Me too! They're not fun anymore. Kailyn and I went to the Bolling's to make signs for the Shapes Dance and Acro truck for the parade. Stupid idea. I think maybe it lost it's "funness" when there were 5 year olds in the background. "Can you hurry up and draw mine?" "Can I paint yet?" "What's taking so long" "My mom is faster than your mom". It was honestly stressful. When Kailyn and I got home, we grabbed a quick supper and sat down for some Grey's Anatomy. Disappointing. I'm just overall not impressed with this season so far. It has got to pick up soon, or I may have to stop watching. (I bet the network exec's are shaking in their boots!)
Now to today, Friday! What a busy day. MHS Homecoming day. Kailyn went to school all decked out in her cheerleading uniform. The Benton School kids marched the MHS halls with the band this morning and then came up and paraded around the square. They were really cute! Then came the marathon. Kailyn got out at 12:30pm and had to be at the high school for parade line up at 1pm to ride with the Shapes group. I finally got her settled and got back up to the square to watch the parade with my mom, stepdad, gma, stepmom and friends. I love the Homecoming Parade, it's always the best! After Mandi and I finally rounded up Kailyn, Aubrey and Adilynn, I met Mandi back at her house for a kid exchange and headed home. Kailyn and I had a snack and watched some t.v. until time to head back to the high school for the half time presentation of the Homecoming Candidates and announcement of the winners. I think it's great that they have Kings now too. So are you dying to know who won? Miss Aubrie Plummer and Mr Chase Kempf. Congrats, you two! What an honor that my baby sister was put up too! I'm not sure that the football team will pull out a win playing Helias, but I bet the dance will be super fun.

I'm quite excited to hopefully get to sleep in tomorrow morning. If we are up anyway, by chance, we may fight the chilly weather to watch the MVC Homecoming parade around 9am. I make no promises.
Sheesh, I guess I've been blogging for a while, because Myer is doing backflips through my rib cage now. He loves to wait until his mom is ready for bed to wake up and move around. And I am really ready for bed, too. It's been super catching up and I will try my best to blog more than one time next week. Once again, I make no promises.
Have a great weekend, all!

What Day Is It?

So I guess today is Friday. What a long week this has been. Last night was the first night this week that I've gotten more than 3-4 hours of sleep. Sunday night Joe tossed and turned, moaned and groaned and kicked in his sleep until finally, at 2:30am, I begged him to go to the couch. Then at 5am when he got up, he was rumbling through every drawer in his dresser. Monday, after dance, Kailyn and I went to the Bolling residence to play for a while and picked up Dairy Queen on the way home for a quick supper. Being the glutten for punishment that I am, I ordered Joe some onion rings so that I could eat a couple. I ate 3. And at 2:30am, those three onion rings were on a war path up my esophagus. I had such bad indigestion that at 3am I finally went to try and sleep, through the thunder and lightning I might add, in the recliner. I finally got back to sleep around 4:30am and at 5am when Joe got up, I almost jumped out of the chair when he was rumbling through the refridgerator and letting the dogs out. Tuesday morning, Kailyn woke up and came into the bathroom saying, "Mommy, I think I have strep throat". After a little look-see, I agreed. I got her into the doctor where she tested positive for strep and negative for influenza. We got her started on antibiotics asap and she stayed with GMa while I worked the afternoon. Unfortunately we missed Aunt Jordan's volleyball game, and of course, she started! Anywho, Kailyn didn't sleep very well Tuesday night, and therefore, neither did I. She tossed and turned, moaned and groaned and even cried out a few times. Wednesday Kailyn spent the day with PaPa. I picked her up after work and we met Nana at our house because Kailyn's ruby red slippers had come in from Avon for her Dorothy costume. We now have a completed costume and are ready for Trick or Treating! We skipped church again this week since Kailyn wasn't allowed back to school until Thursday. As for sleeping Wednesday night, HA! The forecast had said to expect a few rolls of thunder through the night, but that was an understatement. About 3am, I about jumped out of my bed when my entire room lit up like the 4th of July followed by a 16 gun salute! Of course, everytime I would almost get back to sleep, the stupid lightning and thunder would shake the house again. Yesterday Kailyn went back to school! It was also picture day at Benton, she looked super cute. She wore a pink dress with purple sleeves with her hair half up/half down in piggy tail braids. Joe didn't mow yesterday because of the torrential rain fall, so he picked her up after school. When I got home I hadn't laid anything out for supper, so I used the last of my potatoes to make potato soup for Kailyn and started making pigs in a blanket for Joe and I. When Kailyn saw the hot dogs, however, she decided she'd rather have a hot dog and leftover macaroni from Tuesday night. So she had that, I had potato soup and Joe had pigs in a blanket. What a buffet! SPOILER ALERT! If you haven't watched Grey's Anatomy (Melissa) stop reading NOW!
Grey's was a little better last night. Still not up to my full expectations, but better. Meredith seems to have really grown up in this season, and I now love her character even more. Then, for some stupid reason, I watched Private Practice. I got pulled in at the end of the season last year, and have promised myself that I won't get pulled in again this year (I'm not a big fan of Addison), but it's a pretty good show. I feel so horrible for the woman who had her baby cut out at the end of last season. She has a lot of healing to do, for sure. Poor thing. After Private Practice was over, I turned the tv off and apparently it was my night to toss and turn. I had the worst leg cramps, EVER, and could not get comfy. I finally got to sleep close to 11pm and guess what? I didn't wake up again, even to tinkle, until 4:45am! That's right 5.75 hours of solid sleep.....WOO HOO! Needless to say, I could use a little bit of catch up on my ZZZZZ's, but last night helped.
Today is Becca King's birthday! Happy Birthday, Becca! And tomorrow is Justin Heinzler and Kara Pointer's wedding! Should be a great time! I should really get my patootie to work, it's almost 10am! OOPS! Have a great weekend everyone!

Catching Up

Oh good gravy, it's been almost a week since I blogged last. I wonder if anyone still checks for new posts? I wonder if anyone ever checked to begin with? Either way, it's time to catch up.
Let's see here.....Wednesday was the Powder Puff Football Game. Very entertaining, I must say. All the players were such good sports and played great games. Mike Clemons did the announcing, and he was hilarious! The "cheerleaders" were also quite funny. The senior and junior boys did a nice job cheering for their teams. It was kind of chilly, so we only stayed for one half of each game, but in the end Fitzgibbon Hospital beat Marshall Schools Faculty and the Junior Girls beat the Senior Girls. Win or lose, what an awesome event to be a part of!
Thursday was another volleyball game. I had text my sister earlier in the afternoon and told her that they needed to kick some rear quick so that I could get home in plenty of time for Grey's. Game #1 was a blow out, MHS was on it. Game #2, however, was a come down to the very end, I mean, 25-23, stand on your feet and scream when the last point is made, nail biter! But MHS came out on top and I was home with Dairy Queen ice cream for the fam by 8pm. Great games girls!
On to Grey's Anatomy.....yawn. What is the deal here, storyline writers? I'm a die-hard Grey's fan, and don't want to give up on my show, but it's kind of boring/disappointing so far this season. Let's pick up the pace, Seattle Grace. (hee, hee, I'm a poet!)
Friday was Kailyn's first official Girl Scout meeting. It was just a meet and greet for the girls, and they did a few activities. Kailyn LOVED it! Friday was also Erica's baby shower for the new Miss Coleman coming in 7 weeks. Can you believe it? 7 weeks? That's right around the corner! Anyway, she got some really cute stuff, including a sweet Sit N' Stand Stroller from her BFF's.

Sunday was Kara Pointer's wedding shower for her upcoming wedding October 10th! She really got some awesome stuff too, but my favorite was Amber's present. I know that most people have heard of the different letter pictures that people can make on various websites. For example, Joe and I got one for our wedding from http://www.letteryourlegacy.com/ that says KLINGE. Well Amber made, I mean made, one of those with the last name HEINZLER. She actually took the different letter pictures and framed it herself. Honestly what I think makes her even more awesome than the others, is that all of the letters are from special places that would mean something to Justin and Kara! It was really amazing!
Last night the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was on from near Springfield. Chris and Julie See had met this very deserving family through their CASA volunteering, nominated them for the show and they won! It was a really touching story and the Hampton family is truly blessed for having the See's in their life. I hope the Hampton's are so so so happy with their beautiful new home, they are such a sweet family!
Looks like this week isn't too awful busy. We've got dance today, volleyball Tuesday and Thursday, Church Wednesday, Becca's birthday Friday and Justin and Kara's wedding Saturday. Ok, so I guess that sounds busy, but oh well. I love that we are involved!
And on that note, I should be busy at work too, so I've got to go! Happy Monday, everyone!

OOPS!

Sorry about the spacy post, my computer had a small seizure or something and closed all my applications while I was uploading this picture:I promise to be much more space-conscious next time!
