It's called a Sing-a-ma-jig. Now, I'll be the first to admit that I have a dirty mind, but do people really buy these for their small children? Foul. I get the whole singing aspect of the toy, but rest assure, I jam out almost daily and I never make that face, no matter what song is on! A couple of Christmas' ago, Kailyn just HAD to have this boy Baby Alive doll. My brother, Tim, couldn't find it in K.C., so he asked me to pick it up for him here in town. I didn't even think twice until I got the doll paid for and in the car with me. As I was checking him out, I see in small writing on the box, "anatomically correct". Really? Why is that necessary? Maybe I'm a prude or I'm trying to wriggle around explaining "things" to my small child, who knows?! I was rather relieved when Kailyn got into Barbies and discovered that both she and Ken come with painted on undies, these days. They sure didn't when I had them! You wonder why these kids grow up so fast; it's because we apparently start sex education in their toddler years. Next thing you know there will be a DVD called "Elmo Tells You Where Babies Come From". Sheesh!

As I am in full holiday mode, I've been "screen" shopping for ideas. Today I was on http://www.toysrus.com/ looking for the newest in awesome toys and these were on the top of the list:

Santa Claus is Comin to Town
You read it right, people! Santa Claus will be here in a little under 4 months! Now, I've written on here that I've bought a few things, I know, but Joe and I actually sat down and discussed what big presents the kids would receive from Santa. I'm sooooo EXCITED!
I really do LOVE Christmas. I would decorate tomorrow if people wouldn't think I was a huge nut-job! I really like Halloween decorations too. I'm seriously thinking of doing some super fun Halloween decor this year, but we'll see what the hubby says!
Kailyn's is a definite. Last year Santa brought her a Julie American Girl doll, but she also got a Madame Alexander doll for Christmas at her Dad's and a Bitty Baby from Mimi for her birthday. Being the idiot I am, I thought for sure she would be good with her number of 18 inch dolls (she already had a Just Like Me American doll, so her total is 4). HA! The other night at dinner, I asked her what she would ask Santa for this year. She decided she would give him 3 choices: a Kit American Girl doll, a Rebecca American Girl doll, or a set of Bitty Twins. Really? I asked one of my favorite mommy friends if she thought Santa bringing more American Girls was overkill, but she agrees that my child is obsessed. She honestly plays with ALL her dolls ALL the time.....Bitty Twins it is, then! They even have a special package that comes with the double stroller, so Joe and I can give her that!
Myer is a little more difficult. We actually are still thinking on his. We had originally thought of a motorized ride on or a slide/climber playset, but decided against those because he won't be able to play with them indoors. I had looked at some rocking horses, and Joe did like that idea, so we went back through and decided on one together. We need another something to go with the horse, though, to even out the spending. Joe said a workbench, but I want us to get him that from us (did that make sense?); plus, a horse and workbench aren't really related, you know? Like, you can't work on your horse with your tools. There's a really cute Sesame Street walk/ride on toy (Myer digs Elmo), but that doesn't really go with a rocking horse either!! So, I guess he could get the workbench and ride on from Santa and the rocking horse from us. Thank goodness I've got 4 months to argue with myself ;) !I really do LOVE Christmas. I would decorate tomorrow if people wouldn't think I was a huge nut-job! I really like Halloween decorations too. Well, I'd better get some work done! Happy Monday!

WORST BLOGGER.....EVER!
I've been called a few names in my time, I'm not going to lie. Within the last 24 hours, 2 VERY special people in my life have given me a new title.....WORST BLOGGER EVER! YIKES! Seriously, what has it been, like a month since I've blogged?! That's terrible. I have vowed to these 2 wonderful people that I will try harder from this day forward.
Let's get caught up!
Many things have been going on at the Klinge household. Kailyn was a-mazing at cheer camp, Myer now has 2 teeth (he won't show them to anyone, but he bites a little), we had a fun-filled photo session with the awesome Kathy McCloy (more to come), my baby sister moved away college and is loving her classes, 1st grade has begun and Kailyn DIGS it and Joe and I have finally moved into the "now" and got touchscreen phones with web access. The story in pictures:
Alright, so this post wasn't very exciting, but I'm going to get better, and use a few new angles. Stay tuned! Also, next week Kailyn starts dance class, Girl Scouts and cheer class. She's going to be one busy little girl! Until next time ;)

'Tis the Season
Falalalalalalalala.....
I bought my first Christmas presents this past weekend! Did you know Christmas is only 4 months away? Isn't that exciting?! In all honesty, I most normally start shopping in September or October, but I had some J-bucks (Justice) that were going to expire, so rather than losing a free $25, I bought Kailyn a Christmas present and some stocking stuffers! Obviously, I LOVE me some Christmas, but I also have TWO birthdays in January this year. Really smart to have my kids 7 days apart and less than a month after the biggest holiday of the year.
I bought the kids' Halloween costumes (my second favorite holiday) today. I looked up some really cute options: Cheerleader & Wrestler, Wonderwoman & Superman, Catwoman & Batman and Angel & Devil. The winning combination, however, according to Kailyn, was Kitty & Puppy. So I went ahead and ordered them and didn't have to pay any tax (it's tax free weekend)! Joe, Kailyn and Myer need tennis shoes, so I think we'll get those this weekend too. Other than that, the kids are ready for fall/winter. I watch for awesome internet sales and get my breaks there, especially since Columbia and Boone County opted out of tax free sales this year.
To explain the SU2C video in the previous post: I was going to check my e-mail and I always read the entertainment highlights, when my eye was caught by a photo of the ever so cutie-patootie Zac Efron, so I clicked on it. It turned out to be a commercial featuring several young stars who are standing up against cancer. My mama (and HERO) is a breast cancer survivor, so I like to support any "fight cancer" groups. I love the youth and determination of this video! Everyone can make a difference!
As I'm sure you probably noticed, Dakota Fanning was one of the young stars in that commercial. Did you know she's only 16? Did you know she's been in 26 Films and 2 Short Films, on 12 TV shows, been nominated for 30 awards and has won 13 awards? She's fabulous! A little off topic, but I *heart* her!
OMG IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! Have a great weekend!

Um, hello. I feel like a complete stranger. Have we met? I really am a crappy blogger! Teehee! I'm telling you what, though, we have been in overdrive since Kailyn got home last Sunday.
Last weekend, a few friends and I had a garage sale. The weather was scary, but turned out just great and we all made some money! I also gained a good amount of cleared space in my garage. Kailyn got home kind of late on Sunday, after being in Kansas City for her cousin's 1st birthday party. When she got there, she got to meet 2 new cousins from Colorado. Unfortunately, it seems that everytime Joe's cousin and kids are in town, Kailyn is at her dad's! On Monday, Kailyn and Myer got to hang with Aunt Pam, Peyton and Carson. They did some quality bonding!
Monday was also the beginning of American Idol Camp at the new Shapes Studio in Marshall (3:30pm - 5pm), and the beginning of Vacation Bible School (5:30pm - 8pm). Busy girl, huh? Camp ended yesterday with a fun performance of the songs and dances the kids learned. Tonight is the end of Bible School, and I believe we'll get to see a nice performance there too! Cheer Camp at Shapes is next Monday through Wednesday. Kailyn is REALLY excited for this! (Me too, she's going to be so stinking cute!) This Saturday we are going to have a BBQ with some awesome friends. Kailyn's been begging to have a "swimming" party, so I finally got it together. She still doesn't know ;) !
Also this Saturday, August 7th, from 2pm - 5pm is a Summer Shopping Spree Event. It is being held at Angela Gaba's house (210 Meadow Crest Court), where there will be appetizers, drinks and LOTS of shopping! Vendors included will be: Pampered Princesses Boutique, Premier Jewelry, Scentsy, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Thirty-One and At Home America! Come on, free drinks and good shopping.....it doesn't get much better than that!!!!!
Just so you know, I've officially purchased my first few Christmas presents! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! Well, people, work is calling, so I must fulfill my duties......Bahahaha, I said duties! Gotta Go! Have a great week!
