OOPS!

Sorry about the spacy post, my computer had a small seizure or something and closed all my applications while I was uploading this picture:I promise to be much more space-conscious next time!

Good Baby!

Today was yet another doctor appointment. I think Myer learned his lesson after the last visit and stayed nice and still for the nurse this morning. I was nervous because he'd been quite active for a full 30 minutes before that, but he was a very good baby.

My sister and the rest of the awesome MHS Lady Owls Volleyball Team rocked on the court last night! They only had to play 2 games because they were some winning machines, so we got home before 8pm too.

This Wednesday night I think Kailyn is going to skip her church group, Kingdom Builders and we are going to go to the MHS Powder Puff Football games. It starts with a 2 quarter game of MHS Staff vs Fitzgibbon Hospital Staff, followed by Seniors vs Juniors (which is the main reason we're going, Jordan's playing). The other reason I'd like to go is that Erica's baby shower is this Friday night, the same night as the actual Pink Out Football game, so I won't be able to go to the game. They're having the Med-Evac helicopter land on the 50 yard line and deliver the game ball, it's going to be pretty cool.

Thursday night Jordan has another volleyball game and once again, Erica's baby shower is Friday night. What will I get her precious little baby girl? Shall I go practical with diapers and wipes or fun with pretty pink dresses and bows? I love baby shopping, no matter what!

Apparently So You Think You Can Dance is now on Tuesday's too, so I'll need to watch that tonight, especially since I'm going to miss it Wednesday. And, of course, Grey's Anatomy will be on Thursday (which means I'll need the volleyball girls to kick butt again so I can be home by 8pm).

What another busy week ahead! Seems like they're all busy these days. Everyone have a Terrific Tuesday!

Anticipation

After a long summer filled with anticipation of what would happen next on Grey's Anatomy, last night's season premiere left me.....disappointed. If you TiVo'ed the 2 hour episode, you may want to stop reading now.

So George died and his funeral was on the 7th day? The whole "Day whatever" was a bit much too. I felt bad for the girl that George saved, but come on, man, sitting outside the hospital all day, every day? And all of a sudden the board doesn't like the Chief and he doesn't respect Derek and Callie quits? I didn't find the emotions very believable and the episode didn't really leave me too excited for what happens next. I hope this season turns itself around, or it could prove to be pretty boring. Sorry to be a downer about such a great show, but I am a hard core Grey's fan, and I was left wanting more.
On a positive note (yeah right), I am getting larger than life on a daily basis. I only fit into maternity clothes at this point, my son is so active that as soon as I eat he starts doing backflips and I think I'm going to throw up, I tinkle every fourteen seconds and I haven't slept through the night in months. Ah, the joys of motherhood, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. While this pregnancy is 100% different than when I was pregnant with Kailyn, I guess that means they will definitely be individuals. I was happily blessed with a beautiful, healthy daughter, and I will endure whatever is necessary to bring into this world a handsome, healthy Myer! But he may need a spanking for being so mean to his mom while in the womb - LOL!!!!!
OMG! My sweetest little baby sister has been nominated for HOMECOMING QUEEN! Isn't that fantastic?! Woo Hoo! Congratulations, Jordan! I am certainly proud!

Well people, I am going to have a super busy day here at the office, so I'd better start getting ahead of the game. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, especially the Bolling's! Have a safe trip to Omaha!

Worker Bee

I know, I know, I'm a blog slacker, but honestly, I've been doing lots of work these past 2 weeks preparing for year end and audit (BOO!). Let's get caught up:
Kailyn was a rockin cheerleader at the Football game. She went to the clinic on Thursday and then cheered Friday night. She absolutely loved it!

Mandi and I's Garage Sale Friday night and Saturday morning was pretty successful. We both got rid of quite a bit of our stuff, while I also took lots home from Ayson's past wardrobe for Myer! After all was said and done on Saturday, I backed my car into Mandi's mom's driveway and got my 1 tub loaded (that's right, I went home with only 1!). I didn't move my car right away, because Adi was playing in there. After a little bit, though, I was going to move mine so that we could get Mandi's stuff loaded in the back of her van. HAHAHAHAHA! My battery was DEAD! It's struggled to start a few times here recently, and I told my hubby about it, but he hadn't gotten around to it yet. Luckily, #1 I was at Mandi's mom's house and #2 her hubby is a car wizard! He jumped my car and told me to go to O'Reilly's and get a new battery (he told me exactly what to say when I walked in so I'd get the right one). Anywho, I spent my Garage Sale earnings on a new battery and took it straight back to Andy. He had that bad boy changed in no time and I was ready to hit the road. Before I left, I was hanging out with Mandi, Andy, Adi and Ayson, just chatting. Adi was coloring and Ayson was playing the drums with some markers. As I got up to leave, Ayson was playing with a blue marker, and I just happened to look right at him when he finally figured out how to pull that darn lid off. I said, "Oh, Ayson, NO!", but it was too late. I pulled the marker out of his mouth and broke his little heart in the process. I had to have scared the poor guy AND I took away his cool toy, but he was a sport and still smiled for a picture (hey, most people pay very good money for a blue tooth):

Monday was pretty boring, Kailyn had dance and after we got home, we made homemade pizza. I think Myer is getting a little big for his britches (or my womb), because after I ate, I was laying back on the couch and he moved my entire stomach several times. Even his Daddy got to see! Myer doesn't take lightly to having people touch my belly to try and feel him kick, as soon as he feels any pressure on there, he immediately stops, so his anxious Daddy hasn't gotten to feel him but like once. Kailyn was watching for him too, and she pointed at my belly button (which is definitely more out than in these days) and said, "Oh look, Mom, I see a little baby arm". I said, "No, Boog, that's just my belly button". She is hilarious! On that note, I ordered some ProActive for my new-found acne recently (thank you, Myer). I got it in the mail this past week and started using it right away. Well Kailyn and I take baths together, so when I was washing my face with my new cleanser, she curiously asked what it was. I explained that sometimes when you get lots of pimples, you want to make sure and take care of them before they get out of control or even scar. She said, "Oh, so Joe should use some of that too, then?" I said, "You think?" and she said, "Yeah, he gets lots of pimples sometimes." I said, doing my best not to laugh hysterically, "Oh Joe just gets a few every now and then, but Mommy has lots of things going on right now in her body because your baby brother is in there." Joe didn't find that conversation as funny as I did!
Work calls, but I can't end this blog without one last tidbit. Yesterday in the big town of Marshall, where all we do is eat donuts and make babies (long story), the most wonderful and brand new Community Cancer Center had it's ribbon cutting ceremony. My mom, in case everyone doesn't know, is a survivor. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in August, 2008, underwent a lumpectomy soon after, found out that they didn't get it all and started chemotherapy followed by radiation, and still receives Herceptin (somewhat chemotherapy) every three weeks, which should be done in October. She went in August, 2009 for her yearly mammogram and "follow up" and was diagnosed CANCER FREE! Isn't that fantastic?! Anyway, she was very excited to go to the ribbon cutting and thank goodness she did. As the Mayor was in position to start cutting, they asked for all the survivors to come up and help. Below are the picture (my mama is on the front row in the navy blue shirt, jeans and flip flops) and article from http://www.marshallnews.com/ this afternoon:

It's official: Community Cancer Center dream now a realityWednesday, September 23, 2009By GEOFF RANDS/Staff writer From left, Shelly Arth, Stan Moore, Dr. Mark Tungesvik, Fred Utlaut, Dr. William Decker, unknown person, Dr. Tim Ryan, Donna Huston, Ron Duvall, Connie Latimer, Dr. Bedford Knipschild, Janice Roberts, unknown person, Bud Summers, Dorothy Clements, Christie Boedeker, Mike Davis, Virginia Huston, Ken Yowell, Dr. Jack Uhrig, Georgia Yates, Gary Grote, George Brown, Ron Ott, Makenzie Thomason, Mallorie Hejmej, Dennis Sousley, Belinda Stephens, Heather Bourbon and Jene Crook. A number of other community leaders were present but cannot be seen in the photo.(Geoff Rands/Democrat-News)
Several people involved in the creation of the Community Cancer Center addition to Fitzgibbon Hospital spoke during the ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 22.
"Thanks go out to the thousands -- and I say thousands -- of people who worked thousands of hours and worked so hard to make our dreams a reality," said Fitzgibbon Hospital President and CEO Ron Ott. "Without you, and so many people from every community around Marshall, this just simply wouldn't be possible. Some people said it couldn't be done. Well, we're here today to say that it could be, and we did do it, we being thousands of people."
The center, said Ott, was six years in the making.
"I said recently, the best thing would be if we never needed this. It'd be the best $4 million we've ever invested, but the reality is we're going to need it and it's good that we have a quality program here for you," said Ott.
A number of staff were introduced to those present, including radiation oncologist Dr. William Decker and medical oncologist Dr. Mark Tungesvik, chemotherapy nurse Belinda Stephens, radiation therapist Heather Bourbon, radiation therapist Mallorie Hejmej and office manager Makenzie Thomason.
Co-chair for the capital campaign Dr. Jack Uhrig gave a few remarks to the crowd, saying, "We didn't get any stimulus money, we didn't get any tax support, we didn't get any bailout money, we didn't get any rebate on this, you all raised all that money. ... You should be proud of that."
He continued, "It's $2 million for that linear accelerator, another $500,000 for some of the building, another $500,000 for some of the furnishings, but the time my patients (don't have to spend driving) down to Columbia ... is what we call priceless."
Board Chairman Fred Utlaut added to Uhrig's statements, saying, "We didn't get any stimulus money, but we had a lot of stimulated people out there that went to work."
"Without all of you, this wouldn't have happened," said Marshall Mayor Connie Latimer, "and it makes me extremely proud, on behalf of the city, to thank each of you for what you did, for your part, no matter how big or how small, everything that you did to make this happen."
State Rep. Joe Aull, D-Marshall, spoke of many additions to Marshall and how each had their naysayers, including Salt Fork YMCA, Jim the Wonder Dog Park, Martin Community Center and Nicholas-Beazley Aviation Museum, yet each of these have seen plenty of use since their completion.
"This is the same thing. I'm sure there were people saying, 'Oh, you don't put cancer centers in small towns, they go in big cities.
Marshall can never put this together,' and look what's happened. And thanks for those of you who had the vision and the guts to stand up and say, 'Why not?' 'What if?' and 'Let's make it happen,'" Aull said.
Ott then invited cancer survivors, board members, staff members, all those who made the center possible and "anyone else who'd like to come up" to step forward and help cut the ribbon to mark the Community Cancer Center's opening.
Attendees were then welcomed inside the center and given a chance to tour the facility, see the linear accelerator and have some cake and punch.

I'll be back after Thursday night's heart wrenching 2 hour season premiere of Grey's Anatomy! I can't freaking wait! Have a lovely Wednesday!

To The Point

I've got some major things to accomplish at work this week, so I've got to get right to the point: *Volleyball rocked last night, and so did my sister!
*Happy 6th Birthday Averi! These girls are growing up way too fast!
*I go through phases where I LOVE uncrustables PB&J's, and this week is one of those.
*Myer is going to be an all state wrestler.....I can tell by how often he practices his moves on MY BLADDER.
*I am heartbroken that Patrick Swayze passed away. What an amazing actor and man. Mr Swayze, no one will ever put Baby in a corner, RIP.

WTF?

Let me start off by saying Happy 9th Birthday to Aubrey Michelle! I'm pretty sure I just went to her 3rd birthday party last year, but I guess she's all grown up. I am almost done with work for today, then I will be off to pick Kailyn up from dance and home to wait for Nana Penny to come by to try on Kailyn's Halloween costume (she's going to be Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz). Jordan's got a Volleyball game that should start around 6ish, so we'll head up to MHS for that after the costume try-on.
Ok, the real reason for this post. The MTV VMA's last night. Between the weird people and performances, all I can really say is.....WTF? I think Lady Gaga sums it up best.

By the way, I made her that hat myself.

Sweet Dreams

Not exactly sweet, but VIVID for sure! I can't even put a finger on what causes these dreams. They are out of control. Last night I had one dream that Joe and I weren't married and he had another girl pregnant who was due right before me. At the beginning of the dream, it seemed that I was ok with the situation, but then I realized I only wanted him if I could keep him for just myself and my baby.....AND HE LEFT WITH THE OTHER GIRL! Are you freaking kidding me? I woke up and felt like I had been bawling my eyes out for days and my stomach was killing me, and then I figured out that Joe was on his side of the bed! Whew! I finally got back to sleep after that dream and had another doozy. In the dream I woke up in the middle of the night and wasn't sure, but I thought my water had broken. I felt around and Myer's head was crowning and I could feel his hair. I woke Joe up and told him what was going on and that we had to go to the hospital right away. However, we got up and got stuff ready, went by the movie store to rent him some PSP games and Kailyn DS games and then took Kailyn to school. I woke up before we ever even got to the hospital. I was awake after that one for a while too. I sometimes wonder why I even try to sleep. Ridiculous!
Kailyn was with her dad over the long weekend and didn't come home til 6pm yesterday. Last night we were getting things ready for bed and clothes picked out for today. I asked her what she wanted to wear and she said, "I just want you to pick it out, mom" So I said, "Did your dad wash your clothes from the weekend?" She held up the shorts she had just taken off and said, "Not these shorts" I said, "I know, Boog, but did he wash your capri pants?" She wasn't sure, so I decided to do the 'ol smell check. I said, "Oh, they kind of smell like cigarettes," (You may want to prepare yourself for this response) to which she replied with eyes the size of golfballs, "Mom, I didn't smoke!" I apologized and told her that I didn't think she had, but that I appreciated her honesty! I guess if she ever does start smoking hopefully she'll tell me!!!!!
Backing up a little.....Joe and I watched The Hangover on Sunday night, and that is one funny a** movie. Holy cow, I haven't laughed that hard in a minute! I definitely give it 2 hilarious thumbs up!

Kailyn is going to do a cheerleading camp with the MHS Football cheerleaders next week and then cheer at that Friday night's game. She is super pumped! She ran around the house "cheering" last night for quite a while. I finally told her that I had a movie all about cheerleading (Bring It On). She said, "Oh mom, you know what I really want to watch?" Wait for it....."Your old dance tapes!" YIKES! So we watched a couple of dances followed by a couple of Joe's wrestling matches from his senior year. Oh, the memories.
Now I have watched the A&E show Hoarders before, but there was a new episode on last night. I saw a preview that really intrigued me about a 21 year old boy who couldn't clean up his long haired sheep dog's hair from all over his carpet because he felt like throwing it away would prematurely age his dog. He also couldn't throw trash items away because everything had a special meaning, for example, if his mom bought him a bottle of water, he felt like throwing away the bottle when he was done would mean he didn't love his mom. Isn't that so sad? Well he ended up not even holding a candle to the other woman on the show. Swear. This woman was 71 years old and had a soft spot in her heart for stray animals. Ok, I get that, my husband is the same way. This woman, however, was out of control. She and her husband both said they probably had between 20 and 25 cats and dogs. People drop them off at their house all the time because they know the couple won't turn them away. Well the condition of the house where the animals have completely torn it apart and the smell had driven the neighbors to call Animal Control. Obviously they have an ordinance in their town, as do we, about the number of animals you can have without a permit. And what's worse, the woman had had a stroke some years before and lost all vision in one eye and can't see to clean. So there's been no cleaning in her home period since the stroke. Anyway, to sum up the story, Animal Control and a Hoarder cleaning crew went in at separate times and ultimately found 41 live animals and 70 dead ones. That's 111 animals people! The couple didn't have charges pressed on them for animal cruelty as long as they agreed to counseling for their hoarding problem. Their house got fully cleaned out and re-deemed liveable and they got to keep 3 cats. So sad, she really thought she was just helping the animals by giving them a place to live, she was such a nice lady. That show is nuts. The picture below is NOT from the Hoarders show, it is a picture a found on Google of 100 cats in a room (a clean one at that), just for an example.

We have got a busy Saturday coming up! Two birthday parties in one day, Aubrey will be 6 and Averi will be 3! Alright, they are 9 and 6, but do they really have to be that old? Our girls are growing so stinking fast. Geez!
My super cousin Trafton and his gorgeous wife Katie are the proud new parents of a sweet baby boy.....finally! That boy took his sweet time coming out, but made his arrival Thursday, September 3, weighing in at 8 lbs, 2 oz! Mom and baby are doing great! Congrats!!!!!
Well, I really have got some work to do after the long weekend. Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday (it so still feels like Monday to me!)! TTFN!

Bad Baby!

This title is a multi-meaning title. Let's start with our doctor's appointment this morning for Mr. Myer. Obviously there's not much to our monthly doctor visits at this point, but we do get to hear baby boy's heartbeat on the doppler every time. This morning, however, our little grappler was really practicing his takedowns and was not about to be caught by that doppler. He tossed and turned, you could hear that, but he wouldn't hold still to get a heartbeat. Right as I was about to throw up on the poor nurse, he held still and had a strong 148 bpm. This boy may just need a spankin already.
On to the other bad baby.....Kailyn. I realize she is almost 6 and is not a baby, but you can't really tell at this point. I think she is having a few problems getting used to the whole "sharing your mom" idea. She cries a lot, talks like a baby, needs to be held or sit on my lap and always says, "I need mama". It breaks my heart when she acts like this, because she's not my wittle baby girl anymore, but she can't be babied either. Erica said she remembers being Kailyn's age when her mom was pregnant with Chad and she would ask for a bottle and sit on her stepdad's lap and drink it. It's got to be really hard to be the only one for almost 6 years and then, like Mandi says, your whole world changes. I am doing my best to spend as much time with her as possible before Myer arrives, but I also don't want her to feel like that time is being taken away when he's born. Any suggestions?
Are you ready for this? I started my Christmas shopping! Woo Hoo! (Please don't stop reading my blog because of my over organization) I really do like to stay on top of things with the amount of people we have to buy for. AND I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!! (and donuts)
I really don't have much, I'm pretty darn boring, sorry. Have a fabulous week!
