I took a picture of Nelson on my cell phone yesterday to send to Kailyn, and afterward, I thought it would be fun to go through all the other pictures on my phone's memory stick. #1 - Phone cameras aren't such great quality when you have basic phones and #2 - I've had the same memory stick for quite a while!

Welcome Home
It's official! Kailyn was back in Miami, Missouri at 3:30pm yesterday! I talked to her when they were passing through Boonville and she was kind of sleepy from riding in the car so long. She said she had a blast, minus the bug bites and 7 ticks. Her dad also said he's keeping an eye on her since all the kids played in poison ivy! Oops! I told her Nelson was coming home yesterday and she was pretty excited. I sent a picture to her dad's phone last night and called her afterward. She said he's really cute and she can't wait to get home!
Oh Nelson. He is flipping adorable! He's a teeny little fuzz ball of love. He's feisty when he wants to play and cuddly when he's tired. Morgan and Missy are not big fans, unfortunately, but he REALLY likes them! Myer likes him too, except for when he tries to nibble on his fingers and toes. We had to bust Nelson for that and for starting to chew on one of Myer's blankets. He only had one accident last night. Joe thought he'd pooped outside, but apparently not, because he did on the rug by the front door. We caught him very quickly and got him outside. He slept very well last night too. Around 3am he was whimpering, but other than that, he'd had a big day and was a worn out puppy! We'll see how tonight goes after being more used to his new home.
It's supposed to be a scorcher today, so stay indoors or stay super hydrated if you have to be outdoors! Have a great weekend!

Withdraw.....
Kailyn is on her annual Float Trip at Eminense (I doubt I spelled that right) with her Dad and cousins right now. They left very early Monday morning and won't be back until later tomorrow. They have no cell phone reception. Her Dad sent me a text when they were almost to their destination so I would know they made it safe. I haven't talked to my sweet girl since Sunday morning when he picked her up. That's 4 days. Remember how I said it was hard for me to breathe when she's away? Well I seem to be gasping for air at this point. I NEED her. I miss her terribly, I just want to hear her beautiful voice. And let's not even get me started on all the high waters. I mean, all that happens at Salt Fork and then my baby goes on a float trip. I worry enough when she's away from me, not to mention I have a neurotic fear of my children drowning or being kidnapped. Needless to say, I CANNOT wait to hear from her tomorrow!Meanwhile, Myer smiled like a champ for his Summer Pics at Lees yesterday. He was such a good boy! Joe will be picking up Nelson tomorrow as well. We are super excited to meet him! Joe and his brother are going to the breeder for the pick up, so hopefully they only come back with 1 puppy. Joe is a sucker for dogs, so I'll have to send his brother a text begging him to be the voice of reasoning if he starts trying to shove puppies in his pockets. I hope Nelson adjusts well to his new environment! Wish us luck!

Whoa Daddy!
Um, wow, did I forget where my blog was? OOPS! Luckily, you haven't missed too much, but I've do have a few important updates.
Today is Father's Day! I would be delighted to wish my fabulous Father, my fabulous Husband (and baby daddy ;)) and also Kailyn's Dad a Happy Father's Day! Kailyn got Joe an MU Visor and a Card's Hat and Myer got his dad a shirt and pair of shorts. Obviously we also got him a new puppy.
PUPDATE:: As Nelson is part of Joe's Father's Day present, we conveniently received an e-mail from our breeder today that he is doing extremely well and will be ready to come home at the end of this week!
Kailyn left this morning at 10am for her second 2-week session with her dad. She is on cloud 9, because tomorrow morning they are leaving for their annual canoe trip with her cousins. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nervous with all the high waters and bad news with the Salt Fork Creek, but her dad promised they would be EXTRA safe and Kailyn promised she would be EXTRA mindful! But if you happen to be saying your prayers, maybe you could throw in a word for their group to be perfectly safe, please?!
Not much else has been going on. I've been enjoying the new season of So You Think You Can Dance and not enjoying the turential rainfall. I'm hoping for some nice sunshiny days now! I'm really into reading these days. I just finished the new Jodi Picoult (my FAVORITE AUTHOR) book, and while the subject was interesting, I wasn't real impressed with the ending. Mandi and I both agree it wasn't one of her best. I guess we'll have to wait a whole year now to see what she comes up with next. In the meantime, I've got about 5 sitting on my nightstand waiting for me. I started The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephanie Meyer yesterday. It a novella written to elaborate on one of the Eclipse newborns. I don't think it will take me too long.
Well I'd better get moving. My brother will be in town soon and we are going to go have some ice cream with our Dad! Have a great Sunday!
So I had several pictures to put along with this post, but when I upload them, instead of the pictures, I get a ton of words and symbols. Anybody have any idea how to fix that? It seems it's only done it since I changed the blog name. HELP!

Ghosts of Birthday Past
For Kailyn's 6th birthday, Joe and I got her her very own digital camera. She has been a picture taking fool ever since! Family, wrestling meets, a new baby brother and even American Girl doll photo shoots. Last Friday Kailyn was having a session with Myer as he lay on our bed while I put away laundry. After about 25 shots, she asked if I'd like to see the cute pictures she'd just taken. Of course I did, so Kailyn handed me the camera and I started to scroll.....through 360 pictures!! I suggested to her that we upload all the files on her memory stick to the laptop and then delete them so she could start all over. She agreed, thank goodness!
After I got the pic's on the computer, I began to look through all 80 billion and delete the fuzzy ones (she kind of gets in a hurry sometimes). We've emptied her memory card one other time, so this set started when Myer was born. Wasn't I surprised when, amidst the pictures of teeny tiny newborn Myer, was a picture of me nursing. Really? Delete. And wasn't I even more surprised, a few clicks later, to stumble upon a picture of me on the toilet. Did you have to read that twice, because it certainly did say me on the toilet. Holy crap! How did I not notice her taking either one of those??!! She must be super sneaky. Anywho, delete.
Other than those two explicit and a few fuzzy pictures, Kailyn really had some impressive work! Something seems to be wrong with the blogger photo uploader, so I'll post her "work" as soon as I can!

Dog Days of Summer
It has been decided today (by Joe) that our new puppy will be named Nelson. The vote was completely neck and neck, but Nelson kept jumping out in front. So we will now have Nelson, Missy and Morgan. Missy and Morgan are both 9. I'm sure they'll be real thrilled to have a puppy nipping at their paws.

Kailyn is camping this week! Girl Scout Camp, that is. It is out at the park from 4pm - 8pm yesterday, today and tomorrow. Yesterday got a bit interrupted with the storms, though, and Joe picked her up at 6:15pm! I asked her if she was mad and she said that other kids had already gone home, so she wasn't. However, they were going to make a dessert that she'd never had, so it would've been nice to stay. She definitely hopes to stay the whole time tonight! Between taking her American Girl dolls to Mandi's, everything Kailyn has to have for camp, Myer's diaper bag, my daily bag and purse, we look like we're moving out every morning!
Myer is growing so much everyday! You can tell he doesn't miss too many meals, he's getting taller and his hair is finally starting to grow. Joe used to make fun of me when I would brush Myer's hair because it was really coming in, but last night I proved that his hair is growing! Presenting.....Myer's first MOHAWK!Monday, June 7, 2010
Narrowing It Down
Ok, Ok, so there were too many name choices. Thank you, friends, for all of your input so far. We have now narrowed the options down to 2 and need your final opinion. Our new puppy will either be named Switch or Nelson. Please let us know which one you think fits him better. What a fabulous weekend we had! Kailyn came home Saturday morning! We went swimming at the MAC at 1pm with my mom and Myer, leaving Joe home to get all fancied up and get his picture taken with the rest of the Jacobi wedding party. And what a gorgeous wedding and wedding party it was, with much emphasis on the gorgeous bride and groom! Wick and Laura looked absolutely amazing and so so so in love. It was a beautiful day (a little hot, but way better than wet) and a really great time.
We got up Sunday morning and went to a tasty breakfast. We really didn't do too much since we'd had a busy Friday and Saturday, and because Kailyn and I both got a little burnt at the pool (alright, Kailyn a little, me a LOT). We did grill burgers and have a picnic for supper!
Now it is Monday again, and it really feels like it. The time is slowly d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g by and my head is P*O*U*N*D*I*N*G!!!!! I'm sure it doesn't help that I got up late this morning and had to rush around from the get-go. It's supposed to rain today, tomorrow and Wednesday, so I'm sure t-ball will be canceled again. Even if it there is no t-ball, though, Kailyn will have Girl Scout Twilight Camp from 4 - 8 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I had to go buy her a "mess kit" today so she could eat the food they cook themselves at camp. The theme is "Under the Sea", I'm sure Kailyn will be super impressed. You think if I wear a fin they'll let me bring her some chicken strips?
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE, PLEASE!!!!!

Mr. No Name Needs Your Help!
Introducing.....Mr. No Name! This is our new puppy singled out just for us. We need to think of a name so he can go ahead and start hearing it. Problem is, we can't think of one. I've done some looking today and come up with a list (some names will have an explanation - I always have a method to my madness). Pupdate
Oh, faithful readers, I fear I must deliver bad news. Tuesday I received an e-mail from Laurel, our breeder, saying that Lila, Ozzy's mom, had completely stopped caring for her 7 adorable babies. She had put all the puppies in with other mom's, Ozzy was with Patsy the Poodle. We were very hopeful, since Patsy took him in like one of her own, but even worse news came yesterday. I checked my e-mail right before leaving work yesterday, and Laurel said she had lost all of Lila's pups, including Ozzy. The only thing she can determine would be that Lila got a post-pregnancy bacterial infection and passed it to her babies through her milk. What luck, huh? Laurel went on to say how sorry she was and that it would be her pleasure to refund our money or let us choose a puppy from one of the other litters. I didn't want to tell Joe on the phone or in a text, so I waited until he came home and dropped the bomb. He was pretty bummed, but we got on Laurel's website, http://www.triplelfarm.net/, and looked at the last two remaining males, born April 25th to Tabby and Riley. They are wheaten in color.Joe decided he really likes the one with a lighter face. He is in front in the top picture and on the left in the bottom one. I called Laurel with my fingers and toes crossed that he was still available, and he was! She is going to try to take a picture of him by himself today and e-mail it to me. We haven't thought of a name yet, but we're doing some research. Please think only good thoughts about our new puppy baby! I'll make sure to pupdate everyone when I know anything!
