Does Kailyn run this family or what?!?! LOL! Speaking of which, I forgot to share our robot. Kailyn was talking one day about how cool it would be to have your own robot, and how we could make it out of boxes and such around the house. Being the sucker I am, we saved and saved and finally had all the "parts" we needed! Meet "Stacy" - 
Unfortunately, "Stacy" couldn't stand very well on her own and fell over a lot, one time proving to be fatal when her milk carton head fell off. :(*One last side note*
I really just want to say how extremely proud I am to be a part of the community of Marshall. Yesterday was a very sad day as our fallen firefighter was laid to rest. I have never seen so many caring, supportive people in my life. The outpouring of strength and respect was so heart warming. In high school I was one of those bratty teenagers that said, "As soon as I graduate, I'm leaving this hellhole" I don't regret for a minute the day that Kailyn and I moved back here. HOME. While there are downfalls to living in a small town at times, the good times most certainly outweigh the bad. I wouldn't trade Marshall for anything. I definitely recommend for anyone to take a look, but I was there and I still get chills and cry, so you may have your tissues ready. I still pray everyday for Randall's amazing wife and children.
Randall Scott Davenport, 37, of Marshall, MO, died Sunday, October 24, 2010, in Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the Martin Community Center in Marshall, with William W. Harlow and Mark Gooden officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery with full fire fighters honors. The family invites all motorcycle riders to join the funeral procession to the cemetery. On May 26, 2000, he married Sarah Hall who survives of the home. He had been a fire fighter for the Marshall Fire Department since September 13, 2004 and recently obtained his E.M.T. license. He was a member of Marshall Family Worship Center, Marshall Drag Racing Team and I.A.F.F. Local 2706. His life’s passion was being a fire fighter, loving his family and friends. He also enjoyed his Harley motorcycle. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Maggie Jane Davenport and Henry Parker Davenport of the home; his siblings, Lola Christine Jones, Terry Lee Davenport, Vickie Lynn Gochenour, William Henry Davenport, Jr., Roger Allen Davenport and Lori Ann Gibson all of Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honestly, I don't know what it is about this movie that I love, but I watch the darn thing every single time I see that it's on! Joe makes fun of me for it!
If you haven't seen it, it's really good. This girl gets accepted into the ABA and her form is all wrong and everyone is better than her, but she's got the heart and finds her place!
An oldie but a super goodie! Lots of big name actors/actresses as youngsters!
Joe says it isn't even scary, but whatever. I liked the first few Saw Movies, but after the 15th and there's still no end in sight, I gave up. Maybe I just like me some vampires?!?!

Once, when I was buying a new Jodi Picoult book on Barnes and Noble online, I saw this little box that offered suggestions of other authors that wrote similarly to Jodi. One of those authors was Barbara Delinsky. Now, I would argue to say that not all of her books are similar, but she does have some and I've enjoyed them!
I'm usually pretty stubborn about reading new authors. If I don't think I'll like it, then I just don't give it a chance. Like Stephenie Meyer. Before Twilight was a worldwide phenomenon, my sister tried to get me to read it. I couldn't get into the first chapter and gave up. When the movie came out, I didn't see it either, I thought it was going to be stupid. I didn't understand all the hype. When New Moon came out on DVD, Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place's storyline had to do with vampire girlfriends and werewolf boyfriends, so when Kailyn saw commercials, she decided she wanted to see it. We rented both Twilight and New Moon and that was it for me. I called my friend and begged her to bring me the Eclipse book, I had to know what happened next! Very shortly after, I begged her to bring me Breaking Dawn! That book was like crack.....I read that almost 800 page book in a week flat. When Eclipse came out in theaters, Kailyn, my sister and one of my besties went to see it. Oh how I love me a sparkly vampire!!!!! I can't wait until December 4th when it comes out on Blu Ray, it's definitely a must have! I've also read Stephenie Meyer's The Host. It's not as addicting as the Twilight Saga, but I'm glad I stuck with it, because I ended up really liking it. I truly enjoy her writing style.
I also like inspirational books. All of Mitch Albom's books (Tuesdays with Morrie, etc) have been good. He's a great writer and keeps me reading!
I thought The Shack by William P. Young was a fantastic read as well. He definitely makes you reach into your soul and believe how good God is, even in the hardest situations.
I don't normally know what to ask for at Christmas. This year I am asking for an Amazon Kindle. It's an electronic bookreader and you can instantly download e-books (for cheaper than regular books). 
I am SO excited and truly hope to get it! I think the first book I'll download is The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I've heard mixed reviews about it, but am curious and would like to see what it's all about. And if I like it, there are 2 more books in the series. Right now I'm reading Saving Max by Antoinette van Heugten, about a boy with Asperger's who is spiraling out of control and may or may not have murdered a fellow patient in the psych ward where he is undergoing treatment. I've only just begun, but it's pretty good so far!

I'm one of those who always tries to find the hidden meaning in songs. "How does something in my life relate to this artist's experience?" If you ever need someone to relate to, Phil Collins is your man! He's got a song for anything and everything. He is the one person I would pay an infinite amount of money and overcome my extreme crowd anxiety at all costs to see in concert. 
There are also those artist's who don't have any meaning in their songs, but they make me want to shake my groove thang! I really like Katy Perry and Timbaland's "If We Ever Meet Again", and they NEVER play it on the radio! And, Kesha, how I don't understand you as a person, but I LOVE your music! (It's pretty funny to hear your 6 year old sing about brushing her teeth with a bottle of jack, though)
Speaking of my 6 year old, as you've read before, she is a music lover as well! She listens to Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, etc. Now, don't get me wrong, I dig some Justin Bieber, but there's a song called "Send It On", it's a collaboration with the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, and it gives me chills every time I hear it. The message of the song is that even one person can make a difference is the world....."just one spark starts a fire". Between that and those powerhouse girl voices harmonizing with some cutie Jo Bros, I LOVE IT!
Then there's my all time fave. This song is one that I have no idea why I love it so much, but I always have and I always will. "Africa" by Toto! I sing my heart out, "It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you!" Go ahead, sing along, you know you want to!!
I could go on and on, Pat Benatar, Michael Jackson, Dave Matthews Band, Lady Gaga, etc. Book talk next, I promise! 
Sister Wives on TLC (Sorry, Kara), about a practicing polygamist family in Utah. Kody now has 4 wives, 13 biological children and 2 stepchildren. He just recently celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary with Wife #1 and followed it very shortly after with a marriage to Wife #4! I think most men would say it's hard enough to keep up with 1 nagging wife ;)
Biggest Loser on NBC, about obese Americans who are ready to make a major change in their lives. Each person has their own story and it's so awesome watching them become the person they've wanted to be! I love me some Bob, but I don't think I could have Jillian yelling in my face. "Listen, Lady, I'm extremely overweight and I sure as hell don't need your skinny ass screaming at me"
Don't get me wrong, I watch more reality shows than that (my favorite is So You Think You Can Dance), but they're on in different seasons, which is probably good, otherwise I'd be a t.v. zombie!!!!! I do watch two other shows religiously this time of year and they are:
